Red wax stamp with Chinese mark on horse's right knee. Guandao is removable from hand. Heavy wear, losses and chips to wood and paint throughout sculpture. Wood of base is distended and cracked. Splits and cracks to tail and rear of horse. Right hand of warrior is separated. Split to wood on front edge of base. Repairs to wood on center of guandao. Cracks to wood on skirt and tunic of warrior. Splits and cracking to wood on carved dragon portion of guandao. Crack to wood on billowing sleeve of warrior. Red flowers come out from a three legged antique vessel, with lines of poetry on opposite side in black and red. The cover with a flared rim also echoes the design on the body. A red wax stamp is still retained on the base. H. 14 1/4" (36.2 cm), D. Base: 8 1/4" (20.1 cm) Condition: good condition overall for age and use, with a short hairline to the rim, and a chip on the rim of the cover.

  4 CHINESE PORCELAIN FIGURES OF GUANYIN & BUDDHA Four Chinese porcelain figures of Guanyin and Buddha. The much larger Guanyin figure holds the tiny buddha, who is holding a vase, in her right arm, her left hand holds beads, which drape down her knee. She sits on a lotus porcelain platform. Remnants of wax Chinese stamp on lower area behind the Guanyin. A jolly, smiling and corpulent buddha with rosy cheeks and an open robe sits with prayer beads in one hand. Porcelain figures of two standing, slender men with robes on small square bases. Two incised stamps inside base underneath seated buddha. Remnants of wax stamp behind Guanyin figure, and hole in the base. Guanyin: H. 10.75" (27.3 cm) Buddha: H: 7.5" (19 cm) Standing men: H. 5.75" (14.6 cm) Condition: Good condition overall for age and use. Tiny chip to rim of Buddha's vase.
